Integrating lighting into specialty ceilings |
As specialty ceiling products have emerged, with often complex, three-dimensional, and organic form factors, so have the challenges associated with the design and installation of integrated, functional luminaire solutions. Lighting designers and electrical engineers are now engaging earlier in the design phase of projects, as luminaire solutions fitting these specialty ceilings require product attributes outside of traditional technical lighting requirements, including textiles, acoustic characteristics, form factors, and the ability to seamlessly integrate with the chosen specialty ceiling design.

Outlining the advantages of fabric duct systems |
Metal duct has been the standard for HVAC air delivery for more than a century. However, there are less-costly alternatives to metal in most applications. Woven high-grade polyester fabric duct is a popular alternative for open architectural ceilings. While building codes do not allow designers to recess it in ceilings and walls, fabric duct for open architecture ceilings has gained a significant market share over the last few decades.

IMPEDANCE MOISTURE SURVEY SPECIFICATION |
I am looking for a little assistance with some ongoing roof repair work related to storm damage throughout the region. We have many projects underway and would like to include a spec section that covers ASTM D7954 testing for existing roofs, but do not want to embed it into the roofing specifications themselves because we have many different types of roof materials and specification sections. I see MasterSpec provides a deep section number of 07 01 50.13 Roof Moisture Survey which seems like a good spot for such a section to live; however, I have never seen an example of this being used. Has anyone in the community ever included something like this which essentially is just a reference standard specification? I have only ever referenced testing standards in the body of a specification and via the references paragraph.

PLANT WALL HELP NEEDED? |
We have recently renovated and moved into our new office space. As part of the design, we included a plant wall in two locations. The watering was supposed to be controlled via Bluetooth. I have never heard of such a plant wall but unfortunately, we are unable to get it to work or connect to our company Wi-Fi. We have tried replacing the server, using another Wi-Fi but we cannot get it to work. Unfortunately, we have gotten no cooperation from the manufacturer. Does anyone know anything about this product or what can be done to get it to work? Has anyone ever specified this product before?
